Optimize a technician's route

#Optimize a day

Route optimization is on the Pro and Business plans. It reorders one technician's jobs for one day to shorten total drive time, while keeping every job inside its arrival window. It works for up to 25 stops per technician per day.

1. Open Dispatch and pick the day.
2. Click the technician's name and choose Optimize route.
3. Choose the start point: the technician's home address or your shop.
4. Review the suggested order and the drive time saved.
5. Click Apply. Customers whose arrival time moved get an updated reminder if reminders are on.

#Lock jobs that must not move

Open a job and turn on Lock time to keep it fixed during optimization, for example a job where the customer can only meet at 9:00. If the jobs cannot all fit inside their windows, Fieldnote shows which job breaks the plan instead of applying a bad route.
