#Connect Stripe

Fieldnote takes payments through Stripe on every plan. You need a Stripe account in the same country as your Fieldnote company (US or Canada).

  1. Go to Settings > Payments and click Connect Stripe.
  2. Sign in to Stripe, or create a Stripe account.
  3. Approve the connection to Fieldnote.
  4. Back in Fieldnote, choose which payment methods to offer.
  5. Send yourself a test invoice for $1 and pay it to check everything works.

#Payment methods

  • Cards, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, on the invoice's Pay now page.
  • ACH bank transfer for US customers. ACH payments take up to 4 business days to confirm.
  • Tap to pay in the technician app on supported iPhone and Android phones (Pro and Business), so technicians can take a card on site.

Fieldnote supports invoices in USD and CAD only.

#Fees and payouts

Stripe charges its standard processing fees, shown in your Stripe dashboard. Fieldnote adds no extra fee on payments. Money is paid out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule, usually 2 business days after the payment. Payouts and fees are managed in Stripe, not in Fieldnote.
